    Excellent southern food. The buffet is small so don't go for the variety. But the taste... Shucho-mouf!!

    I ate so much chicken and meatloaf, I didn't have room for desert.

    In every town there is that one place that everybody knows about that makes great food. In Whiteville the village family buffet is that place. I could tell you that this is one of the finer meals I've ever had at a buffet, but that would only be part of it. The truth is the village family buffet is one of the finest representations of southern cooking that I've experienced.
    I can tell you that everything had on the menu great flavor was cooked perfectly and went down really easy. It went down so easy in fact I did not try the desserts which looks delicious. Like some other reviewers here I filled up on the ribs.

    Im not much for Buffets at all......but...damn the food here is good!! The ribs and rice are outstanding as well as the neck bones and scalloped potatoes...do not visit this spot if you are on a diet or plan on doing heavy lifting anytime soon...the staff are friendly and attentive as well...great spot for lunch!

    What's not to love!  Great country cooking, lots of meats and a very affordable price! ($6.95 for lunch!).   Everything I've eaten is at least good and most very good. Great country veggies like turnips, Brussel Sprouts and Limas!  Fried Chicken, fish and pork ribs all good. Worth the stop.

    My boyfriend and I had a chance to eat here small buffet but food was excellent! Food was very fresh and hot! We loved it would go back again! Very friendly staff as well!
